Nyack, NY - The Nyack College baseball team hosted the Felician University Golden Falcons in a CACC doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. The games were played at the Palisades Credit Union Park and saw Felician take the W in game one with a final score of 1-11, before the Warriors answered back in game two and earned the victory with a final score of 7-3. With the split the Warrior's are now 11-13-1 overall and 4-6 in conference.

The Golden Falcons got on the scoreboard first in game one when they scored a pair of runs in the top of the third. Tehy went on to extend their lead to 7-0 in the top of the fifth with five more runs scored. The lone Nyack run in the first game was scored by Austin Fischer off a Anthony Torreullas single up the middle in the bottom of the 6th. Felician would round up game one with three more runs in the top of the 8th to earn a 11-1 victory in the first match of the doubleheader.

The Warriors started off better into the second game. Luke Kelly and Austin Fischer scored in the bottom of the first off a Felician error. Gabe Vasquez added another run in the bottom of the 2nd after a Herman Alvarado single, before Alvarado scored himself in the bottom of the 4th to extend the Nyack lead to 4-0. Ben Bills pitched a perfect game until the top of the 7th inning when he gave up his first three hits which allowed Felician to put up three runs to cut the lead down to one, 4-3. But the Warriors answered back right away when a Carlos Pino double to left field cleared the bases and allowed Luke Kelly, Anthony Torreullas and Austin Fischer to reach home plate. Logan Mann would finish out the game for the Warriors give up just one hit and striking out two to secure the 7-3 victory in game two.
