Warriors Baseball Sweeps Jefferson University

The Nyack College Warriors Baseball swept Jefferson University in a home conference double header. The score of the first game was 12-7 and the score of the second game was 11-6. 

In the first game, Jefferson got on the scoreboard first but was followed up with by Nyack in the second inning when David Gauthier hit a sacrifice fly that helped Yoni Rodriguez score. In the bottom of the fourth inning Matthew Johnson hit a homerun bringing home Alec Peterson earning 2 runs for his team. 

In the second game, Nyack started off strong scoring 5 points in only the first inning. The Warriors kept this momentum throughout the game and in the bottom of the sixth inning Herman Alvarado singled up the middle helping Matthew Johnson advance and bringing David Gauthier and Gabriel Vasquez home. 

Key Performances: 

Matthew Johnson had a total, between both games, of 6 at bats, 1 run, 5 RBIs and 4 hits, one of which was a homerun.
