Warriors Baseball Falls to Bloomfield Bears

Nyack College Warriors Baseball played against the Bloomfield College Bears today in a home conference double header. The Warriors lost the first game in 12 innings where the final score was 4-3. The Warriors lost the second game as well where the score was 15-3. 

Game 1: 

The Warriors had a slow start losing 3-0 up until the 9th inning when Armani Moore singled to right field helping Alec Petterson advance to second, Herman Alvarado advance to third and bringing Matthew Johnson home, scoring the first run of the game for the Warriors. Christopher Colotti then doubled down the left field line scoring 2 RBIs for the team and tieing up the game with Bloomfield. Bloomfield won the game in the 12th inning with a sacrifice fly.

Game 2: 

The Bears started off strong scoring their first run in the top of second inning. Nyack didn't reach the scoreboard until the bottom of the 5th inning when Gabriel Vasquez reached first and then advanced to second on an error by the short stop bringing home Quinton Pertkiewicz. In the bottom of the sixth inning Jeremiah Alonzo singled to center field earning 2 RBIs for his team. Bloomfield scored their last run of the game at the top of the 7th inning making the final score 15-3.

The Warriors will face off against Bloomfield College in an away conference double header on Friday April 5th at 10 AM and 1PM.
