Warriors add Division 1 Transfer from Navy

Former Patriot League All-Rookie Player Isaiah Roberts transfers to Nyack

Nyack, NY - Nyack Head Coach Jason Crafton announced the addition of transfer Isaiah Roberts to the Warrior Men's Basketball Program.  Roberts previously played at the Naval Academy the last two seasons where Coach Crafton formerly served as an Associate Head Coach. 

As a freshman Roberts was named to the Patriot League All-Rookie team after averaging 5.6 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 1.4 apg and 1.1 spg.  Roberts 34 steals that season were the fourth most by a freshman in Naval Academy school history.  As a sophomore Isaiah increased his scoring average to 8 points per game in conference play while shooting an efficient 45% from the field.  That season he netted a career high with 20 points against Bucknell University.  He was also named MVP of the team that season.  

Coach Crafton on Roberts:

"Isaiah is an intense competitor and will provide an immediate spark to our team next season. He was a pleasure to coach during my time at the Naval Academy.   He brings a wealth of high level playing experience along with maturity having attended a service academy.  The Warrior Family Welcomes him."  

A Native of Pennsauken, NJ - Roberts will pursue a degree in Business at Nyack. 

*Per NCAA rules Isaiah will sit out this semester and join the warriors on the court in the fall.
