Hurrington and Robinson Join Men's Basketball
Nyack, NY - Coach Crafton searched long and hard to bulk up the front-court portion of the Warrior roster for this fall and recently announced the signings of Christian Hurrington (Bowie, MD) and Will Robinson (Mount Vernon, NY).
Coach Crafton's comments on Christian:
"Christian Hurrington (6'7, 220) is mobile forward that runs the floor well, aggressively pursues rebounds and has a solid mid-range jumper. He has a lot of experience competing against high-level competition having played at NCAA Division 1 Delaware State and most recently at Prince George's Community College where he helped his team win a regional championship. One of the major things I noticed about Christian was his positive attitude and team first mentality on the court---He's a great fit for Nyack!"
Christian on his decision:
"I chose Nyack because I saw a campus where I could focus my academic efforts with convenient support along with a head coach that will bring out the best of me as a player."
Coach Crafton's comments on Will:
Will Robinson is one of the toughest and most competitive players I've ever seen. Standing at 6'5 and weighing 270, you will quickly see why people refer to him as "Big" Will. He is definitely a force to be reckoned with. I love his passion for the game and how hard he works on the floor. He comes from a great program where he's won two state titles playing for the legendary Bob Cimmino at Mount Vernon. "Big" Will embodies "toughness" along with a "competitive spirit"---that's a great combination! "
Will on committing to Nyack:
"I felt at home when I visited Nyack. I like the idea of playing with my former teammate Khalid Samuels. I also felt the academics would be good for me. Overall, I like what Nyack had to offer."
The Warriors have quickly added six new players to the roster for this fall. This will definitely be a new-look team. Stay tuned for more updates!
