Post Defeats Men's Basketball 86-48

Nyack, NY - The men's basketball team opened their CACC schedule against Post University yesterday evening in Bowman Gym, falling by a score of 86-48.

Post would get out to a commanding 21-3 lead over the first 9 minutes of play, Nyack would respond with a 8-3 run to cut the deficit to 24-11, and the two teams would play even the rest of the half as the Eagles entered the break with a 37-24 lead.

The Warriors would be unable to come closer than 13 points away in the second half, as Post lengthened their lead on their way to a 86-48 victory.

"Our toughness on defense and our willingness to share the ball on offense was not where it needed to be tonight.  Post University really played together on both ends of the court.  I was impressived with the level of energy they played with the entire night.  We must improve drastically and it starts on defense."  -Coach Crafton

Chris Hampton posted a team best 14 points in the losing effort, and Tevin Evans and Darren Chew  totaled a team high 7 boards each.

Nyack returns to action Saturday when they travel across the Hudson River to take on Mercy College in a non-conference bout.
