Nyack, NY - The men's basketball team would come out on the short side of a non-conference east region match up against Dowling College yesterday by a score of 73-55.
With the score tied at 11-11 in the first five minutes of play, Dowling would follow with a 14-3 run to grab a controlling 25-14 lead of the contest with ten minutes remaining in the first half. Dowling would take a 17 point lead into the half, and would keep Nyack at arm's length in the 2nd half before winning in 73-55.
Khalid Samuels would post a 26 point day in the loss with Chris Hampton also reaching double figures with 14 points. Frank Martin also totaled a team high 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
Nyack returns to action tomorrow when they travel to take on NYIT at 6 PM.
