Khalid Samuels Receives CACC Honorable Mention

NEW HAVEN, C.T. (Jan. 7, 2013) - Khalid Samuels, a Business major & sophomore guard from Mount Vernon, NY was mentioned in the CACC Weekly Honors on January 2, 2013. The Conference recognized Samuels for his exceptional efforts during Nyack's previous two contests against East Coast Conference foes, St. Thomas Aquinas College & Dowling College.

He averaged 28.5 points per game, converting on a remarkable 68% of his attempts from the floor. The 5'9 guard totaled a career-high 31 points and shot 72.2% from the floor in the Warriors 66-63 win over St. Thomas Aquinas College on December 19. Samuels returned after the break and continued his hot-hand, connecting on 71.4% of his attempts from behind the arc and 83.3% of his attempts from the line as he scored 26 points in a 73-55 loss at Dowling.

Samuels would continue to lead the Warriors in scoring, assists, & steals during the last two most recent games vs. New York Institute of Technology (ECC) & Chestnut Hill College (CACC).

Nyack looks forward to getting more Warriors recognized by the CACC as they prepare for a belt of CACC mach-ups beginning Wednesday January 9, 2013 at Post University.
