The Nyack College Men's Basketball team played their final game before the Thanksgiving break on Tuesday evening.
Nyack visited St. Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) for a non-conference game where the Spartans would record their fourth win on the year against the Warriors, 89-71.
By the end of the 1st half Warriors would be down by nine points (34-43) as Nyack was outrebounded by a margin of 21-11.
In the 2nd half STAC maintained control and began to extend the lead. A jumpshot by Spartan Aaron Cust gave STAC their largest lead of the night, 61-38 and by the end, STAC earned their way to victory.
The final score reflected 89-71, improving STAC's record to 4-1 while Nyack drops to 2-4 on the year.
Khalid Samuels led the Nyack team with 18 points while Cust led the Spartans with 21 points. Warriors Nick Moore and Chris Hampton recorded 11 points and Isaiah Roberts contributed with 10 points in the losing effort.
Men's Hoops will enjoy a little over a week off and are set to come back after the holiday break to continue their road travel in non-conference play as they face Mercy College next on Wednesday December 4th at 7pm.
