NYACK, NY (December 7, 2013)
On Saturday afternoon, Warrior Hoops hosted the No. 1 team in the south division, University of the Sciences. The Devils shot over 50-percent from the field to shoot its way to a 65-44 win over Nyack College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men's basketball action at Bowman Gymnasium.
Nyack trailed by eleven points at halftime and in the second period, Warriors would be outscored 36-26 as the Devils used a 21-8 run over the last eleven minutes of play to seal the victory.
USciences shot 53.8-percent (28-for-52) from the field; including 60% (15-25) in the second half, as it drained 3-of-9 (33.3%) three-pointers on the day and finished with a 42-23 rebounding average.
Nyack shot 31.1% (14-for-45) for the day, including 34.8% (8-23) in the second half, connecting on 3-for-12 (25.0%) three-pointers and went to the free-throw line twenty-three times (converting thirteen) all day.
Forward Nick Moore (Sicklerville, NJ) led for the Warriors with 15 points, 1 block, 1 assists, and tied with teammate guard Isaiah Roberts (Pennsauken, NJ) and forward Naanma Yamsat (Plateau State, Nigeria) with a game high 4 rebounds respectively.
Yamsat also chipped in with 6 points off the bench to tally his season high on the year after returning back to action less than two weeks ago from an injury. Guard Dante Agnew (Queens, NY) led on the night with 3 assists in the losing effort.
Nyack (3-5, 1-3 CACC) is set to play another home contest on Tuesday December 10th at 7pm against Adelphi University.
