Men's Basketball Fall To Visiting Adelphi, 73-61

NYACK, NY (December 19, 2013)

The Nyack men's basketball team played a non-conference game Thursday afternoon as Warriors hosted Adelphi University of the Northeast-10 conference.

The AU Panthers led for the entire game keeping Nyack from opportunities to tie the match resulting in AU's second win on the year to improve their overall record, 2-6.

In the first half Adelphi used 14 unanswered points to grab a 22-7 lead with 10:12 remaining. By the locker room break the AU Panthers had the upper hand of a 36-23 lead.

During the second half Adelphi continued to keep Nyack at bay. Although the Warriors outscored the Panthers 38-37, the tough deficit on the first period was hard to come back from as Adelphi went on earning the 73-61 win.

Forward Nick Moore (Sicklerville, NJ) led for the Warriors with 19 points on 7-for-12 from the field while shooting 100% from the free-throw line (5-for-5) along with 6 rebounds, 1 assist, and a steal.

Guard Chris Hampton, (Queens, NY) contributed with 12 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals on the night.

Warrior Hoops (3-6) are next scheduled to face Saint Michaels on Saturday December 21st at 3pm to conclude the 2013 campaign.
