All-Long Island Guard Travis Dickerson Signs National Letter of Intent with Men's Basketball

6'4 Guard from Amityville High School signs with the Warriors

NYACK, NY
- Nyack Men's Basketball Head Coach Jason Crafton announced today the signing of Amityville High School (NY) Guard Travis Dickerson for the 2014-15 season.  The 6'4 versatile wing helped lead Amityville to back-to-back Suffolk County Championships.  This past season he averaged 20 points 4 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game while earning a spot on the Newsday All-Long Island 1st Team.  As a junior Travis helped lead Amityville to a Long Island Class A Championship and a berth in the state semifinals.

Coach Crafton on Dickerson:

"Travis comes from a winning high school program and has been well coached by Jack Agostino.  He handles the ball well for his size and has a nice looking jump-shot.  He is a tremendous on the ball defender who utilizes his length to create steals and deflections.  We love his versatily along with his relentless work ethic.  He also comes from a strong Christian family and is going to really fit in well with our institution.  I look forward to coaching him this fall."

Dickerson played AAU Basketball with Team Underrated and has a No. 21 state ranking according to ESPN Recruiting.  Travis currently joins Navy Transfer Phil Guglielmo in Nyack's 2014 recruiting class.
