The Nyack College Men's Basketball team came out on top in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match against Georgian Court University. Three Warriors scored in double figures to bring Nyack to victory against the Lions by a final score of 71-63.

With the win, Nyack improves their CACC record to 50-percent mark (3-3) while sitting at 5-7 overall on the season. Georgian Court drops to 1-6 in the conference and 2-12 overall. 

How It Happened:
Senior forward Frank Martin (Miami, FL) poured in his first double-double of his collegiate career with 11 points and 14 rebounds to mark his second highest rebounding effort Martin has registered since his freshman season where he tallied 19 boards in a game.

Also scoring 11 points on the evening was Imran Ritchie (Uniondale, NY) while teammate Ga'Briel Chandler (Atlantic City, NJ) led the Warrior men with a team-high 12 points from shooting at 100-percent; both from the floor (2-2) and behind the charity stripe (8-8). Jaron Smith (Bayonne, NJ) and Dante Agnew (Queens, NY) chipped in to combine for 18 points. Agnew would also tally a game-high 6 assists and 5 steals to mark the highest recording of both assists and steals in a single game during his collegiate career. 

In a close match that featured 5 ties and 7 lead changes, Nyack had the advantage going into the halftime break with a 33-31 lead over Georgian Court. During the second period, the Lions continued to fight and saw many opportunities to take control of the game, but Nyack would rally back to obtain the offensive upper hand. The final three minutes of regulation saw the Warrior team utilizing free throws to maintain their lead as Nyack earned the win on the evening by a final score of 71-63.

Georgian Court outshot Nyack from the floor 43.8-percent (21-of-48) but the Warriors pulled off a great team free-throw shooting effort over the Lions (78.6-percent to 68.0-percent). Nyack dished 17 assists compared to GCU's 10 assists and forced more Lion turnovers (20) compared to GCU only forcing 13 Warrior turnovers. The Lions managed to score more points than Nyack off turnovers by a margin of 23-16. Both teams tied with rebounds, yanking 34 boards apiece.

Nikola Vujovic came off the bench to led Georgian court with 18 points in 29 minutes of action while teammate Juwuan Carter registered 15 points. Michael Pierre snatched a team high 7 rebounds in the losing effort.
