Men's Basketball Upended by Goldey-Beacom College Lightning in Home Match

Nyack, NY -- The Nyack College men's basketball team suffered a 74-115 conference loss to the South Division leaders Goldey-Beacom College Lightning on Saturday afternoon. 

Nyack (6-13, 2-10) were led by senior Robert Tyler with 19 points and junior Imran Ritchie with 16 points.

Goldey-Beacom enjoyed the better start with a 10-2 run in the opening minutes of the game. The Lightning showed why they are one of the best teams in the CACC right now shooting 66% from the field and 67% from behind the arc, increasing their lead to 22 points throughout the first half. 

The Lightning even improved their shooting percentage during the second 20 minutes, shooting 70% from field, outscoring the Warriors 62-43. The game would eventually finish with a score of 74-115 in favor of Goldey-Beacom. 

Nyack returns to action on Wednesday, Feb. 1, when they host the Concordia College Clippers. Tip-off is slated for 7:30pm
