Men's Basketball Defeated by Caldwell at Home

The Nyack men's basketball team was defeated at home by conference opponent Caldwell University by a score of 83-57. With the loss the Warriors are now 2-3 in conference play on the season.

The Cougars of Caldwell came out swinging right from the tip. They opened up an early 9-0 lead and never looked back. The warriors were able to slowly claw their way back into the game and remain within striking distance for most of the first half until Caldwell finally pulled away and went into the half with a 45-21 lead.

The second half was more of the same as Caldwell continued to pour on the pressure. The Warriors continued to battle throughout the game and finished the game on a 19-7 run. The Warriors were led by senior Imran Ritchie who had 14 points and 2 assists. Calvin Willis provided a great spark off of the bench, chipping in with 13 points (5-5 fg) and 6 rebounds in 18 minutes of action.

The Warriors return to action on Wednesday, January 3, at home against conference foe Bloomfield College. Tip-off is slated for 7:30pm following the women's game.
