The Nyack College Men's Basketball team served as host to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponents from Holy Family University. Warrior Elijah Farley caught fire once again with 12 points in the battle and right behind with 10 points each were Curtis Thompson and Carl Balthazar. Their offensive contributions helped the Warriors tab another CACC win with a score of 63-56.

How It Happened:

Holy Family was well under way as they shot up first on the board 5-0. The Warriors answered back with a layup from Imran Ritchie and a followed up shot from Rashard Lewis to leave Holy Family with only a one point lead. With under 11 minutes left of the half, Curtis Thompson's jump shot put a tie on the game. Nyack went on to gain their first lead of the game with a 2-pointer from Cortez Rawls. Both teams continue to battle out the half with another 21-21 tie and just five minutes remaining. The Warriors went on a 7-0 run after Curtis Thompson went 2 for 2 at the free throw and Rashard Lewis banked a 3-pointer. However, that was not enough to seal the half as Holy Family was up 32-29.

Just when the Tigers thought they would keep their momentum, the Warriors came up with the first layup to start the second half. However, Holy Family answered back to lead 34-31. What seemed like a Holy Family domination soon became the Nyack Warriors. Nyack went on a game high 11-0 run to bridge a 6-point gap lead. By the time it was 4:59 left in the game, the Warriors extended that gap to 11 points. As the Tigers trailed behind they continued to battle and close that lead to 9 points. However, that was not enough as Elijah Farley's shot from behind the arc sealed the victory for Nyack. They would finish 63-56.

Carl Balthazar held down the fort on the offensive end with a season high 12 rebounds while his teammate Rashard Lewis came up big with 7. The Warriors had a total 52 rebounds over the Tigers 36. Even though Nyack's 16 fouls were more than Holy Family, they came up big with their battle of the shot gloss.
