Men's Basketball Receives CACC Sportsmanship Award

Nyack, NY - The Nyack College men's basketball team has been awarded the CACC Team Sportsmanship Award for demonstrating outstanding class and character throughout the season, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara on Tuesday. The last time the Nyack men's basketball team received the sportsmanship award dates back to the 2012-2013 season, which was the the first season under then new head coach Jason Crafton.

Head Coach Jason Crafton said, "We appreciate the members of the league voting for us in this regard. We love to compete but we also have a greater mission in representing Christ along with inspiring others. This award acknowledges our efforts in doing so and it means a lot to our program and our institution - Thank you!"

The Warriors finished the season with a 7-12 CACC record just two games shy of the fourth spot in the North Division, that would have allowed the team to make a post season appearance.  Senior Imran Ritchie led the squad with 11.7 points and 3.7 assist per game. Junior Carl Balthazar finished the season ranked #1 in the CACC with 2.3 blocks per game.
