Men's Basketball Loses Heart Breaker to USciences on the Road

Nyack, NY - The Nyack College men's basketball squared off with the USciences Devil on Saturday afternoon in a CACC road match. 

The Basics:
Final: Nyack 58 , USciences 68
Records: NC (4-19, 3-12), USP (9-16, 6-10)
Location: Philadelphia, PA

Game Summary:

  • the first ten minutes of the first half were tightly contested and saw several tied scores and lead changed
  • with the game tied at 11, the Warriors 15-0 run to move ahead, 26-11, with eight minutes left in the first period
  • in the remaining minutes of the half the Devils cut the Nyack lead with 12-2 run of their own, which had them trailing by three points at the halftime buzzer
  • Nyack kept the Devils at bay for the first half of the second period, but USciences slowly chipped away on the Nyack lead and tied the game at 42 with ten minutes left
  • the game went back and forth in the remaining minutes and saw the Warriors trailing by one with two minutes left
  • however, the Devils would keep the upper hand and extend their lead to ten in the final minutes to earn the victory

Key Performances:
Nyack was led by Gemaal Davis and Jah-Meer McDuffie with ten points each.
