The Nyack College men's basketball team competed in a home conference game against Georgian Court. Majority of the game was close in score but the Warriors were unable to finish resulting in a loss for their record with a final score of 93-80.
The first half of the game consisted of several tied scores as the Warriors went head-to-head with Georgian Court. In most of this half the Warriors stayed even with the opposing team only falling behind by a few points. It wasn't until the last three minutes of the game when Nyack found themselves in a ten point deficit. Despite the small amount of time remaining, the Warriors managed to catch up and even take the lead with a three point jump shot made by Curtis Thompson finishing the half with a totaled score of 41-39.
In the second half of the game, the Warriors stayed consistent in their field percentage of 43.3% from the first game while Georgian Court increased their field percentage by almost thirty percent, giving them the upper hand over the Warriors. Although Nyack started in the lead, Georgian Court quickly tied up the score at 44-44. From there the Warriors traded points and possessions with the opposing team. Once Georgian Court managed to take the lead the Warriors trailed not too far behind with only two or four point gaps. With eight minutes left in the half, the Warriors found themselves ten points behind the opposing team. As the Warriors built on their score, so did Georgian Court making it harder for the Warriors to bridge the gap of points resulting in their loss.
Overall the Warriors were 43.3% from the field, 42.3% from behind the arc and 81.0% in free throws. Offensively, Perris Hicks led the team with 24 total points. Defensively, Jayden Dawson led the team with 3 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal.
