The Nyack College men's basketball team competed in a home conference game today agianst the Bloomfield Bears. The Warriors fell behind early on in the game and although they fought to come back from behind, it wasn't enough to pull out the win for their record. The Warriors lost with a final score of 88-64.
In the first half of the game, the Warriors slowly began to fall behind the opposing team. With seven minutes left in the half, the Warriors were thirty points behind. The score at the half was 44-22.
In the second half of the game, the Warriors started at a disadvantage with a large point gap and was unable to produce anything promising enough to catch up. Bloomfield managed to stay consistent in both halves scoring 44 points in each. Although the Warriors picked up their pace and scored 42 points in this half, keeping up with the Bears, their pace in the first half made it challenging to come back from in the second half.
Overall, the Warriors were 40.7% from the field, 30% from behind the arc, and 62.5% in free throws as compared to Bloomfield's 49.3% from the field, 41.9% from behind the arc, and 70% in free throws. Offensively and Defensively for the Warriors, Joel Bailey led the team with 20 total points, 7 total rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.
