The Nyack College men's basketball team competed in a home conference game today against Felician University. In a game that had several lead changes, traded possessions, and tied scores both team went head-to-head for the win but the Warriors were unable to pull through and lost with a final score of 59-62.
In the first half of the game, both teams were evenly matched as they battled to be the team on top. Halfway through this half, the Warriors found themselves in the lead by eight points. Felician eventually managed to tie up the score at 23-23 with five minutes left. There were several lead changes following and the score totaled out in a tie at 33-33.
In the second half of the game, the Warriors tried to sustain a lead but both teams stayed consistent in their game fighting for the upper hand. There were sevral tied scores until Nyack found the upper hand with 13 minutes left. Felcian then tied up the score at 53-53 and then stole the lead. Felician was able to sustain the lead until the end.
Overall, the Warriors were 32.8% from the field, 20.8% from behind the arc, and 100% in free throws. Offensively, Joel Bailey led the team with 23 total points. Defensively, Junior Graham led the team with 7 defensive rebounds.
