The Nyack College men's basketball team competed in an away conference game against Chestnut Hill College. In a game where Nyack showed up ready to play, the Warriors were able to produce numbers that helped them secure the win with a final score of 96-73.
In the first half of the game, the Warriors came out of the gate ready to play and dominating every inch of the court. Seven minutes into the half, they were already up by ten points and they were able to consistently hold that lead throughout the rest of the half. The Warriors numbers played a huge part in their lead advanatage in the first half being 44.3% from the field and 20% in three-pointers. The score at the end of the half was 47-32.
In the second half of the game, the Warriors only increased their numbers which gave them an edge over the opposing team. With eight minutes left in the game, the Warriors found themselves in the lead by twenty points, making it extremely challenging for Chestnut Hill to come back. The Warriors secured the win without much doubt.
Overall, the Warriors were 48% from the field, 35% from behind the arc, and 81% in free throws. Offensively, Kennith Ford led the team with 15 total points scored and defensively, Joel Bailey led the team with 9 total rebounds and 5 steals.
