The Nyack College men's basketball team competed in an away conference game against Jefferson University. The Warriors had a slow start putting them behind in the first half but managed to pick up their game in the second half. Unfortuantely, this wasn't enough to secure the win for their record, losing the game with a final score of 72-87..
In the first half of the game, the Warriors fell behind early on and found themselves ten points behind with 12 minutes left in the game. Nyack was 37.9% in the field as compared to Jefferson's 64.5% which contributed to Jefferson taking off with the lead and being able to sustain it for the whole half. The Warriors were unable to catch up and the score totaled out at 28-53.
In the second half of the game, the Warriors managed to pick up their pace scoring a total of 44 points in this half as compared to Jefferson's 34 points. Bpth Nyack and Jefferson went head to head with similar percentages in all areas. Because the Wariors had started this half about twenty-five points behind, the points they scored were not enough to lift them past Jefferson.
Overall, the Warriors were 44.3% from the field, 38.5% from behind the arc, and 81.3% in free throws. Offensively, Joel Bailey led the team with 27 total points scored. Defensively, Jah-Meer McDuffie led the team with a total of 10 rebounds and 1 block.
