Marco Likos Awarded All-American Status For Men's Soccer
Indianapolis, IN (Jan. 23, 2013) - Junior Forward Marco Likos was awarded this past Saturday on January 19, 2013 an NCAA All-American status.
Likos, from Leipzig, Germany was voted by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) committee after recently being voted to the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) All-American Team and NCAA Division II East Region Player of the Year.
Likos totaled a conference best 44 points in a season in which he posted 18 goals and 8 assists, including 7 game winners. Likos lead the Warriors to a campaign finish with an overall record of 9-9-2. In addition, Likos received honors for his 2012 season as a Daktronics 1st Team All-American and as 1st Team All-CACC selection.
At the 2013 convention Likos was congratulated by former US Woman's National Team star, Julie Foudy.
