Fuchs With the Game Winner To Lift Men's Soccer 2-1 in OT Over Holy Family

NYACK, NY (October 12, 2013)

In a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match up against Holy Family University, men's soccer battled through two intense periods which forced overtime.

As the Warriors and Tigers were tied 1-1 entering the 1st OT, Maxi Fuchs would go one-on-one with the goalie at the 93rd minute to net a shot that fired past the keeper, giving Nyack the 2-1 game win.

The first Warrior goal started in the first period during the 48th minute by way of freshman midfielder, Andrew Kupp. Thirty-eight seconds later, Holy Family responded with a goal of their own and the match would remain tied 1-1 until the game decision was landed in overtime.

The victory boosts the men's soccer standings to 5-6-1 and 3-4 CACC.

Up next for the Warrior team are two away games; one non-conference match up with Mercy College on Tuesday, October 15th and one against Chestnut Hill College on Saturday, October 19th.

Both games are scheduled for 3:00pm start times.
