PHILADELPHIA, PA (October 19, 2013)
The Warriors' men's soccer team battled the Chestnut Hill Griffins in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match on Saturday afternoon. A lone goal in the first half by Nyack would secure a 1-0 victory as Chestnut Hill (5-8-2, 4-4-1 CACC) suffered their eighth loss of the season.
The Griffins could not get their offense going as the team was out shot by a margin of 15-10 in the game. Nyack would keep the pressure on Chestnut Hill throughout the entire match as they had a total of 5 corner kick opportunities.
Freshman keeper Tom Lohman (Berlin, Germany) recorded 4 saves for the Warrior team out of 4 shots on target while Chestnut Hill keeper made 5 saves from 6 shots in the game.
Five shutouts on the year have been recorded for Lohman as this win marks his second shutout for the two games played this week.
Nyack men's soccer (7-6-1, 4-4-1 CACC) looks to add to their three game winning streak when they play Caldwell College away on Tuesday October 22, 2013 at 3:30pm.
