2-1 Loss To Post University Brings An End To Men's Soccer Season

ORANGEBURG, NY (November 1, 2013)

In a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest men's soccer played their final game of the 2013 season on Friday afternoon.

The Warriors battled No. 1 in the CACC, Post University, which resulted in an overtime heartbreak as the Eagles edged their way to earn the win.

Eagle Francisco Sastre scored the game-winner on shot inside the box that deflected off Warriors' goalkeeper Tom Lohman's (Berlin, Germany) hands and into the net. The final score reflected 2-1.

Marco Likos (Leipzig, Germany) netted the lone goal for the Warrior team recording his fourth goal on the year, tying with teammate Maxi Fuchs (Munich, Germany), as the two lead in scoring.

Felix Horn (Germany) and Toni Mutschler (Frankfurt Oder, Germany) lead on the year with three assists a piece.

Moving on to the playoffs, Post Univeristy will host Bloomfield College in the first round of the CACC Tournament on Monday, November 4th at 2pm. The Eagles are the top seed in the tournament while the Deacons are seeded at eighth.
