Men's Soccer Drop Tough Road Match Against Bloomsburg, 5-0

BLOOMSBURG, PA - The Nyack College men's soccer team suffered a tough non-conference road loss (5-0) Wednesday afternoon at Steph Pettit Stadium.

The opponents took control of the match right from the beginning with a header goal during the 9th minute to take the early 1-0 advantage over the Warriors. Nyack's best scoring chance would come in the 23rd minute when senior Justin Gabriele (Bloomingdale, NJ) took a ball on the wing and crossed directly in front to Ralph Nicholson (Allendale, NJ) who shot right on, but Husky keeper, Jared Ott prevailed with the save.

During the 48th minute of the second period, Jack Henley (Belper, England) saw an opportunity to tie the contest with a shot from top of the box which forced BU's Ott to make a diving save. Beginning the 58th minute, Bloomsburg would go on a run, netting four back-to-back goals to stretch the lead and eventually shutout Nyack 5-0.
