Philadelphia, PA - Three first half goals were enough for the Philadelphia University Rams to defeat the Nyack College men's soccer team today.
The Rams scored three times in the last 10 minutes of the first period to earn a 3-0 half time lead. Nyack ended the first half, with a 2-6 disadvantage in shots and Philadelphia recored two corners in the first 45 minutes.
The momentum shifted in the second period and the Warriors created several good opportunities. One of them was converted by sophomore Finn Reese, when he found the back of the net after a Pablo Montes cross. In the 76th minute the Warrior were awarded a penalty after a foul on Montes. Reese would finish the penalty to score his second of the day. Despite a great effort the Warriors were unable to tie up the game, so that the 90 minutes finished with a score of Nyack 2 Philadelpia 3.
The Warriors will return to action this upcoming Wednesday, when they host Felician University at Nyack High School. Kick off is slated for 7:30pm.
