It was a slow start for the Warriors as Holy Family scored a set piece in the first half of the game. Storm Glautier had the first shot of the game but it went wide. Soon after the Tigers gave their first shot on Goal but the Warriors saved it. Both teams battled back and forth, each having a corner kick attempt to try and score. Both sides were unsuccessful until a rebound shot from Holy Family's, Mike Smith, altered the game. The 1-0 lead had the Warriors fighting back as they added two more shots, but could not finish before the half.

The momentum seemed to favor the men in blue and white as they continued their lead with scoring another goal at 65:43. Finn Reese added to the scoreboard as he successfully capitalized on the penalty kick, thus giving the Warriors a (2-2) tie in regular time. Neither teams wanted to end in a draw but neither teams were able to find the back of the net before the ending of second half, therefore forcing an overtime.
