Bloomfield, NJ - The Warriors found no leeway with the Bears in no scoring game. Bloomfield hosted Nyack and they were very set on protecting their territory as they triumphed in a 3-0 win.
The ball seemed to play at the Bears feet majority of the first half as they sunk in back to back goals. Bloomfield's, Nicholas Calabia, took a quick header shot off of teammate Adrian Smart in a corner kick. Two minutes after that the Bears riffle a shot from outside and right pass the Keeper of Nyack to add to the 2-0 lead. The quest to catch up for the Warriors found Pablo Montes with a shot but it went wide. The Warriors came really close with a corner kick by Francois Legodec and Anton Teetzman who took a shot. They were unsuccessful as Bloomfield's Goalie continued his shutout at the half.
Alvaro Magel of Nyack began the second half with a save from Bloomfield's, Nathaniel Valencia, as he took the first shot of the half. Daniel Larson found himself with an opportunity but his shot just went wide. After a foul on both sides, the Bears managed to chip shot a goal in off of a Nyack defender to bring the score to 3-0. The Warriors continuously fought hard even though their corner kick from Pablo Montes and header shot by Daniel Larson missed wide. Making a debut to the game was Nyack's Ralph Nicholson. He attempted a shot that Bloomfield's Keeper would save. As the game slowly came to an end the Warriors still battled down to the last second with shots from both Ralph Nicholson and Jack Henley. However, the Warriors could not contend.
Nyack's Alvaro Magel had five saves on the night while Ralph Nicholson, Jack Henley, and Daniel Larson all led the Warriors with two shots.
The Warriors return to a CACC match as Wilmington hosts them. The game begins on September 23, at 3:00pm.
