Goldey-Beacom showed their dominance over Nyack in a (0-4) scoring lead. The first goal for the Lighting came at 9:26 off of a header shot from their player, Chahin Agrham. Following that (1-0) lead, the lightning strike again as Alejandro Varela scored two more back to back goals within two minutes from each, to bring their scoreboard to a (3-0) lead. The Warriors had two shot attempts on goal but they were no match for Goldey-Beacom who scored another goal right before half therefore having the lead of (4-0).
Nyack did some re-grouping at the half and came back during the second half with a better opportunity. They fired with two, back-to-back shots by Finn Reese, yet not were unsuccessful. Even though he didn't find success in that, he helped to assist his teammate, Carlos Hernandez, score his first goal of the season after tapping the ball in from the throw in. The Warriors would be a score on the board to bring the game to (4-1). That early goal in period two had both teams on their toes defensively. They battled both ways and could not seem to score until Goldey-Beacom broke the silence with their fifth goal on the game. Immediately after that, they would score again to bring the lead to (6-1). Nyack did not refuse to give up as they answered back with a rocketed free kick from Finn Reese, giving him his ninth goal on the season. His late goal would not be enough as the Warriors fell (2-6) to Goldey-Beacom.
Nyack hits the road in search for their next victory against Felician University. Kick off is set for 7:30pm on October 11th.
