Reese Hattrick Lifts Warriors Past Felician And Earns Head Coach Keith Davie 200th Career Win

Lyndhurst, NJ- The road trip for the Men's Soccer Team of Nyack ended with a triumphant victory for not only the players but for head coach, Keith Davie. Coach Davie entered last night's game with an overall coaching record of (199-224-30).  However, after last night's victory, he adds another win under his belt to give him his 200th win since his start 23 seasons ago. The team helped Coach Davie to a (4-3) win over Felician University in a CACC battle. Finn Reese ended the game with 3 goals and Jack Henley with 1 goal to contribute to the Warriors Victory.

Senior Forward, Finn Reese (Hamburg, Germany) collected a through ball from Senior Midfielder, Francois Legoedec (Rouen, France) to beat Felician's Goalie for the game winning goal with 12 minutes left of the second period.  The goal propelled the Warriors to their fourth CACC win of the year, bringing their record to 6-6-1 overall and 4-5 in the CACC.

Nyack opened the night's scoring in the 34th minute, on Senior Forward Jack Henley's (Belper, England) first goal of his collegiate career. By the half, the Warriors were up (1-0). Within two minutes of kick off for the second half, the Warriors got up (2-0) as Finn Reese added to the scoreboard with his goal from a througball by Senior Midfielder Pablo Montes (Madrid, Spain). The game again fell in favor of the Warriors with another goal by Finn Reese who was assisted by Freshmen Forward Mitchell Reed (Toms River, NJ). After Senior Defender Storm Glautiers was sent off with his second yellow card of the game, Felician tied the score with three back to back goals in the second half. Connor Mckenna of Felician gave them their first goal of the night to bring the score to 3-1, Nyack. Following that Bashkim Saiti was assisted by Leo Yang to score Felician's second goal of the half. Finally, at 77 minutes Felician would score again to tie the game 3-3. As the minutes began to pass the Warriors saw a window of opportunity when Finn Reese ended the game with another goal from a through ball by Francois Legoedec.  

Nyack owned a 16-15 shot advantage over Felician.

They will host Georgian Court on Homecoming day, October 14th. Game is set for 2:30pm.
