Men's Soccer With Strong First Half Effort in Loss to Jefferson Rams

Philadelphia, PA. – The Nyack College Men's soccer team return to the field after Monday's non-conference match against NYIT to face off in a match against Jefferson University. The Warriors were defeated by the Jefferson Rams 3-0 on the road in another Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.

The Rams scored at the 38th minute mark when Pedro made a header off of teammate's Seiji Rose corner kick. Despite the early setback the Warriors stuck to their game plan and held off the Rams until the 46thminute when M. Senior-Campbell scored his fifth goal of the season and second goal of the game. The Warriors were outshot 5-13 in the first half. Despite valiant effort by the Warriors to keep the Golden Falcons at bay, Dillon Abraham would net the third goal of the game in the 66th minute. The Warriors outshot the Rams 8-7 in the second half  but it wasn't enough to finish the game with a 20-13 advantage for the Rams.

Tested for much of her game between the posts, Nyack's Goalie Alvaro Magel finished the game with nine saves out of the twenty shots faced.

Graduate Forward, Davide Alessio led the team with five shots, while Senior Forward, Finn Reese and Senior Forward/Keeper Michael Reger, collectively added two more attempts for the Warriors.

Nyack returns to action this Tuesday for their last CACC match against Concordia University. Kickoff is slated for 7:00pm at Nyack High School.
