Men's Soccer Adds Swiss International Joshua Schliesing to 2018-19 Roster

Nyack, NY - Joshua Schliesing of Zermatt, Switzerland, has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Warrior men's soccer program at Nyack College for the 2018-2019 season. The 6'0" winger joins the Warriors from German club team SV Horst 08. Schliesing also played for FC St. Niklaus from 2014 to 2015, while also spending two years in the youth academy of Bundesliga club Schalke 04 from 2011 to 2013.

Joshua names his parents as major influences in his life, because their unconditional love and support helps him to succeed. He comes to Nyack with the expectation to make new friends and to succeed on and off the pitch. Joshua will pursue a degree in Business Administration and is excited to join Nyack, because of its close proximity to New York City, the school environment, and the soccer program. He names current soccer standout Cristiano Ronaldo as his favorite athlete and Philippians 4:13 as his favorite Bible verse.

Men's Soccer head coach Keith Davie states,"Joshua brings us a physical and dynamic winger. We had quite a bit of competition but I'm gad he chose us. I'm very happy that he will wear the Crimson for the Warriors next season."

Welcome to the Warrior family!
