Men's Soccer Tabbed Eighth in CACC Coaches Preseason Poll

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Nyack College Men's Soccer team was selected 8th in the 2018 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) preseason coaches poll that was released by the conference office on Tuesday.

Wilmington University was voted into first place with 149 points and one first-place vote. The Wildcats are followed by Jefferson in 2nd (148 points, 3 first-place votes) and the reigning CACC Champion Goldey-Beacom in 3rd place (147 points, 8 first-place votes). The remainder of the league was voted as follows; Bloomfield College (124), Post University (111 points, 1 first-place vote), Georgian Court University (107), Caldwell University (76), Nyack College (70), Dominican College (63), Chestnut Hill College (48), Holy Family Uniersity (45), Felician University (44) and Concordia College (40).

The Warriors - who received 70 points - return 11 players from the 2017 squad, including sophomore forward Alex Garcia (West New York, NJ) who was selected to the CACC All-Tournament team at the end of the season. Head Coach Keith Davie paired the 11 returners with 12 new incomers to form a solid squad for the 2018 campaign. Nyack finished their 2017 campaign with a 5-7 CACC and 7-10-1 overall record.

The Nyack College men's soccer season opens on Thursday, August 30, with a 4:00 p.m. contest at Franklin Pierce University. The complete results of the 2018 CACC Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll are provided below.
