Men's Soccer With Tough Overtime Loss on the Road

Orangeburg, NY - The Nyack College men's soccer team traveled to local rivals Dominican College on Tuesday afternoon in a CACC matchup. The Warriors suffered their second overtime loss in a row with a final score of 0-1 in favor of the Chargers.

Both teams were unable to find the back of the net in the first 45 minutes. Freshman goalkeeper Pedro Santolaya made his debut in the Warriors goal posting two saves in the first period. Nyack outshot the Chargers 6-5 in the first half.

The second half wasn't any different forcing the game to go into overtime. In the 96th minute the hosts were able to decide the game in their favor finding the back of the Warriors net off a corner. Santolaya finished the game with four saves. Junior Vitor Cositorto led the Warriors with three shots in the game.

With the loss the Warriors fall to 1-4 and 0-2 in conference play. Nyack will be back at home this Saturday when they host the Jefferson University Rams in a CACC match at Moseley Field. Kick off is slated for 2:30pm.
