Nyack, NY– The Nyack College men's soccer team snapped their losing streak with a 1-1 tie against the Goldey-Beacom College Lightning on Saturday afternoon.

The Warriors got on the scorebaord first when Daniel Larson found the top left corner of the goal after a Nicholas Scarafile corner in the third minute of the game. Nyack continued to dominate the game after the initial goal, but the Lightning would slowly find their way into the game in the dying minutes of the first half. Neither team was able to put another goal up and the first half ended with a score of 1-0 for the Warriors.
Goldey-Beacom pushed a little more in the second half but was unable to create any promising opportunities. In the 72nd minute Ethan Maguire took a cross volleyball from 20 yards out which saw its way over Nyack's goalkeeper Alavaro Magel into the net for the 1-1 tie. Nyack had several promising chances to restore their lead but were unable to find the back of the net forcing the game to go into overtime.
Daniel Larson scored his second goal of the season.
