The Nyack College Men's Soccer team faced off in an away non-conference game against St. Thomas Aquinas College. In a game that went head to head with two overtimes, the Warriors battled hard for the last goal, winning with a final score of 4-3.
In the first half of the game, the Warriors came out strong with a total of eight shots on goal which was four up on STAC for the half. At a time of 33:31, the Warriors put themselves on the scoreboard with the first goal of the game by Javier Fernandez. No more than ten minutes later, STAC came back and scored their first goal of the game and tieing up the score at 1-1 at the end of the first half.
The second half of the game is where all the action happened. Nyack had a total of nine shots on goal in this half and STAC had a total of ten. At a time of 62:14 the Warrior's Noah Levit found the back of the net, putting the Warriors ahead of STAC. At a time of 74:53, STAC came back and scored another goal tieing up the score yet again. The Warriors fought back and seven minutes later, Javier Fernandez scored his second goal of the game. Seven minutes before the end of the game STAC scored another goal tieing up the game and forcing an overtime.
In the first overtime, Nyack managed to have two shots on goal but neither were able to find the back of the net but only twelve second into the second overtime, Javier Fernandez found the back of the net winning the game for the Warriors with a final score of 4-3.
