Nyack Men's Soccer Falls to Jefferson in Last Season Game

The Nyack College men's soccer team competed in their last away conference game against Jefferson University.The Warriors fought hard throughout the game but was unable to hold off Jefferson for the whole game, losing with a final score of 4-1. 

In the first half of the game, Jefferson put themselves on the scoreboard with the first goal of the game at a time 7:29. The Warriors came back at a time of 29:58 and put themselves on the scoreboard with a goal shot to the middle of the net by Javier Fernandez. Nyack had a total of seven shots on goal in the first half as compared to Jefferson's five. The score at the end of the half was tied up at 1-1.

In the second half of the game, the Warriors had stayed consistent but that wasn't enough once Jefferson began to elevate their game. The Warriors had six shos on goal in this half as compared to Jefferson's ten. At a time of 55:05, Jefferson took a shot which landed in the upper left corner of the goal, putting themselves one point ahead of Nyack. The Warriors slowly began to lose momentum on defense, and at a time of 73:45, Jefferson scored again. The Warriors were unable to produce anything promising on offense forcing them to have to pick up their play on defense. But at a time of 89:44, within the last few seconds of the game, Jefferson scored their last goal solidifying a win with a final score of 4-1. 

The Warriors had a fighting season but will not advance to playoffs.
