Zach Trador and Patrick Chumba with First Place Finishes at CACC Track & Field Championship

Lakewood, NJ - The Nyack College women's and men's track & field team traveled to New Jersey on Sunday to compete in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship. Both teams finished 9th overall. The men garnered 38 points, while the women ended up with 22.5 points on the day. 

Junior Zach Trador won the 3000 meter Steeplechase with a time 10:03 and senior teammate Thomas Trott followed in second with a time of 10:12. Trador also finished 3rd in the 5000m race with a time of 15:51. Freshman Patrick Chumba finished first in the 10,000 meter race with a final time of 34:20. 

On the women's side freshman Celeste DiNardo finished 5th in the 10,000 meter race with a time of 46:31. Micayla Brodish finished 8th out of 18 in 100m Hurdles with a time of 17.28. Winnie Jepkoech and Bornes Jerono finished 3rd and 4th in the 5,000 meter run with times of 19:27 and 19:31.
