The Nyack College Men's Cross Country teams opened the 2015 season at the Ron Stontisch Invitational, hosted by Vassar College on Saturday. From a field of 110 opponents, the Warrior men would finish in 6th place as a team.

How It Happened:
First in for the Nyack squad in 17th place individually was redshirt-freshman Ian Mirtile who clocked a time of 20:28.7 followed by fellow teammate, Thomas Trott (38th) who recorded 21:13.2. Shortly behind trailed junior Mateusz Gacik for a time of  21:19.8 to take 43rd place individually while freshman Zachary Trador jump started his collegiate career sealing the 4th spot in 58th place at 21:49.4. Junior, Nathaniel Dominy would storm in 5th for Nyack in 61st place to round out the Warrior top-5 scorers in 21:56.6. Freshmen Samuel Weller and Thabo Ngwenya would seal the 6th and 7th spots.

Up Next:
The Warriors will travel next to Philadelphia, PA on Saturday, September 12th to compete at the Philadelphia Metropolitan Championship. The 8k event is set to take place at Belmont Plateau in Fairmount Park at 2:15pm.
