HOPKINTON, N.H. (November 5, 2016) – Sophomore Zach Trador (Seminole, FL) finished 67th on Saturday afternoon, to lead the way for the Nyack College men's cross country team at the NCAA Championship East Regional, hosted by Franklin Pierce at Hopkinton State Fairgrounds. Trador finished well inside the top half of the 169-runner field to lead the Warriors to a 15th-place finish, out of 23 teams.
Trador finished the 10k course with a time of 34:11.1, which is a new personal record and was good for an average mile time of 5:30.1. It was 15 spots back to the next Warrior across the line, with junior Thomas Trott (Frederick, MD) checking in at 82nd place, with a time of 34:55.3. The remaining scoring for Nyack College came between 86th and 148th position: sophomore Joseph Girard (Glenville, NY) placed 86th in 35:00.1, senior Mateusz Gacik (Mysliborz, Poland) took 98th in 35:30.9, sophomore Danson Kirwa (Eldoret, Kenya) finished 147th in 38:19.3, and sophomore Kelvin Kiprop (Iten, Kenya) finished 148th in 38:24.4.
It all added up to 454 points for the Warriors, who checked in at 15th place.
