Women's and Men's XC Take 5th at CACC Championship
 
At the cross country conference championships in Newark, DE, the Nyack men's and women's teams each placed 5th out of 14 teams in the CACC. The men were led by two top-10 finishers, and the women had four of their six runners come in the top half of racers.
 
In the men's race, Zachary Trador was the first Warrior to finish, speeding through the course in 27:39 with a pace of 5:34/mile to claim 7th place out of 91 runners. He was followed closely by Joseph Girard, who took 9th place with a time of 27:47. Thomas Trott also had a high placement finish, crossing the line in 19th place overall after completing the course in 28:03. Nyack's overall score of 153 points, with an average finishing time of 28:56, secured the 5th place spot for the men's team in the conference.
 
Sidney Gall led the Warriors across the line in the women's race, taking 19th place overall after running the course in 21:06 with an average pace of 6:48/mile. Winnie Jepkoech finished close behind in 22nd place, with a time of 21:15. Bornes Changwony and Celeste DiNardo crossed the finish line nearly together in 26th and 27th place, with times of 21:34 and 21:37, respectively. Nyack scored 157 points overall, edging out the next-place team by 1 point to claim 5th place for the women's team in the conference.
 
The last cross country race will take place in Amherst, NY, at the NCAA DII East Region Championships on November 4th.
