Women's Softball Releases 2012-13 Outlook

As the 2013 softball season approaches, the Nyack College softball team is hard at work uniting themselves in preparation to face their opponents in the Spring. Nyack welcomes 4 new players who have set the ultimate goal to lead the Lady Warriors to the CACC playoffs this year. As displayed in last week's Fall ball tournament which took place in Scranton, PA, this team is eager to learn about one another and build off each one's talents and strengths in order to compete to their full potential. The strong camaraderie in which they have already developed will transfer into great chemistry on the field. The Lady Warriors walked away from the Scranton fields with a 1-2 record and a .467 batting average. These girls came to hit!!

The team welcomes rookies Christine Kline (Midland Park, NJ), Victoria Flemming (,TX ), Ely Rivas (Mission Hills, CA ), and Theresa Huestis (Bridgeport, VT ). All have been excellent additions to the team and are very excited to show Nyack what they can bring to the program.

Returners include pitcher Chelsea Macluso (Charlotte, NC), catchers Tesla Murillo (Indio, CA) and Becky Ferry (Rhinebeck, NY). Captains Taylor Brown (Ellington, CT), Kathleen McClain (New Haven, CT), and Kelsey Lyons (Puyallup, Washington) will all be sure to see playing time around the diamond. Infielders Megan Richards (Nanuet, NY), Hannah Lake (Long Island, NY) and outfielder Anna Baily (Milford, CT) will be back for another round as well and help drive the Lady Warriors to wins in the 2013 season.
