NYACK, NY (December 10, 2013)
Katalina Padilla is 5"4' middle infielder from Las Cruces, New Mexico and has just signed a letter of intent to join the Nyack Warriors Softball family.
She attends Las Cruces High School where she maintains a 3.5 GPA and has earned her academic letter. She has been a varsity player for the Las Cruces High School Bulldawgs the past three years under head coach Will Garcia. Katalina also played volleyball for two years then realized that softball was her passion.
Katalina has been playing ball since she was 4 years old and currently plays for the New Mexico Sundancers 18U travel team under head coach Paul Kohman. She is expected to graduate from Las Cruces High School and is planning to obtain a degree in nursing.
Katalina is the daughter of Jon & Lori Padilla. She has one brother, DJ, and two sisters, Adriana and Marissa.
She has chosen Nyack because of the great education, the Christian environment and the opportunity to continue to play the sport she loves.
After college, Katalina aspires to be a nurse that is compassionate, caring and dedicated to her patients and profession.
