Inside The Game:
Warrior Christine Kline (Midland Park, NJ) went 3-3, with a double and two singles, also scoring two runs. Anna Bailey (Milford, CT) had two singles for Nyack while teammates Elaina Vasquez (Gilroy, CA), Meghan Richards (Nanuet, NY), and Tori Flemming (Plano, Texas) each had one hit. While the Warrior offense was strong, their defense lacked, which led to a final score of 11-7, with the win going to USP. Kim Yano (Blauvelt, NY) started the game on the mound for Nyack, while Ashley Manger (North Haledon, NJ) and Flemming also picked up innings.
The second game would result in a loss 6-1 for the Warriors. There was a total of 5 hits, with Warriors Bailey going 3-4 while Richards and Tesla Murillo (Indio, CA) each pulling out 1 hit. Manger started the game on the mound for Nyack and lasted 5 innings, with teammate Kline coming in for relief. The Warriors had many opportunities to get runs in, but were not able to capitalize. That along with defensive errors was the cause of their loss.
