ORANGEBURG, NY - The Nyack Warriors faced top of the league Caldwell College today at South Orangetown Little League in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) battle.

Inside The Game:
The first game of the doubleheader was a tough loss 11-2. Ashley Manger pitched the complete game, giving up a total of 15 hits. In addition, Caldwell capitalized on Nyack's defensive errors.
On offense, the Warriors had a total of 7 hits. Christine Kline went 2-4, while Tori Flemming, Kim Yano, Tesla Murillo, Hannah Lake, and Kelsey Lyons all had singles. While the offense was productive, it was too little too late.
The second game was also lost by the Warriors 9-1. Yano started the game on the mound, and pitched a total of 3 and 2/3 innings, giving up 8 runs from 5 hits and 5 walks. Kline came into to finish the game, giving up 1 run from 3 hits.
The offense was led by Flemming, who was 2-2 with a double and a single. The other three hits were from Lyons, Meghan Richards, and Yano. Lots of solid contact was made by the Warriors, but Caldwell was on top of their defensive game.
Nyack Softball is slated next to play Concordia College Thursday April 3rd at home. Games are slated for a 3&5pm start.
