Softball Upended In Twinbill To Holy Family

ORENGEBURG, NY - The Nyack Warriors softball team played at home on Saturday afternoon for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) doubleheader against No. 2 in the conference, Holy Family, at the Orangetown LL Field. Nyack was unable to take a game against the Tigers as Nyack fell 10-0 and 4-2.

Inside The Game:

Game one saw Nyack with three hits; one each by Anna Bailey, Elaina Vasquez, and Meghan Richards but no runs came in for the Warriors. In game two Nyack would get on the scoreboard first in the top of the first inning with Vasquez's homerun allowing 2 RBI as Christine Kline brought in the game's second run. Warrior softball maintained the lead until  the top of the third inning where HFU's Casey flied out to the infield for a RBI by McDevitt with two outs remaining. Walters would next make connection with a base hit. Corrado advanced to second and Borrelli tied the score as it reflected 2-2. In the fourth inning Scotto homered two RBI and Bunda scored (4-2).

Up Next:
Nyack softball is set to returns to action when they travel to Dominican College on Tuesday, April 15th. First pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 3PM with game two tentatively set for 5PM.
