ORANGEBURG, NY - The Nyack Warriors lost both Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) games in their doubleheader against the Lady Chargers on the campus of Dominican College.

Inside The Game:
The first game was a close one, with the final score being 6-4. The Warriors came out strong in the top of the 1st inning, scoring three runs. Christine Kline started off the game with a single, with Anna Bailey Shuman then bunting for a single. Elaina Vasquez then walked, setting up bases loaded. Meghan Richards hit a single to right field, bringing in two runs. Elaina Vasquez then scored on an overthrow by the catcher. Other hits in the game came from Tesla Murillo, Kim Yano, with Kline adding another hit, and Richards adding another single and a double. While the Warriors outhit Dominican, a lacking defense contributed to the Nyack defeat.
The second game was also lost, this time 8-0 in five innings. The only hit from the Warriors came from a single by Tori Flemming in the top of the 4th inning. The Warriors posted base runners from walks and defensive errors. Dominican's offense was strong, with them having a total of 10 hits in their win over Nyack.
Softball takes the field next this week as host to Felician College on Thursday April 17th at the South Orangetown Little League Field (Orangeburg, NY). First pitch of the conference doubleheader is slated for a 3pm start followed by a tentative 5pm start for the nightcap.
